FRC Welcome Center

The FRC Welcome Center offers a warm and welcoming space for newcomer families who have recently arrived in the United States. Whether it's assistance in navigating our schools and the larger community, a cup of coffee, free internet, or just a children's book in their native language, the Center can help provide support as parents and children begin their lives in this country. We know that students are more likely to succeed in school when their families are thriving, and D63's Family Resource Center provides a range of services to support families. Our Marketplace provides food, school supplies, clothing, and household goods to D63 families in need, and the FRC Welcome Center offers resources and a warm and welcoming space for newcomer families: parents and students who have recently arrived in this country.

 

The FRC Marketplace exists to support our families when they need a helping hand. Patrons come through to shop with dignity and select from the items available.

We’re accepting donations of:

  • Dry Goods 
    • Oatmeal, pasta, rice, cereals, soup mix, nuts, dried fruit, mac n’ cheese, granola bars, cereal bars, cake mixes, flour, sugar, etc.
  • Frozen Items
    • Frozen vegetables, fruits, meals/dinners.
  • Canned Goods
    • Soup, tuna, chicken, vegetables, fruits, evaporated milk, condensed milk, etc.
  • Personal Hygiene
    • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, deodorant, wipes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

The Marketplace is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. starting September 8, 2026.

The Marketplace has various items for families in need:

  • School supplies
  • Backpacks
  • Clothing
  • Coats
  • Hats
  • Gloves
  • Food Items (Items Vary)

We rely on donations to maintain an inventory available to families. If you want to help, consider donating personally or organizing a drive at your place of business or through your local PTO to help support the Marketplace. 

We accept financial donations to help purchase needed items.
