East Maine School District 63's Expanded Learning at the FRC is our community's home for youth development programming when school is out. We offer wraparound programs to ensure quality care is available year-round before and after school, during school breaks, on early dismissal days, and at other out-of-school times. We are proud to begin our 26th year of providing services to meet the needs of our families. Participants can expect activities in STEM, art, sports, dance, and more! Our programs supplement the classroom and offer opportunities for experiential learning, enrichment, and wellness.

Research indicates that well-structured, high-quality out-of-school time programs can contribute to social and emotional growth, helping youth develop responsibility, a positive work ethic, social skills, and civic-mindedness. While their impact on immediate improvements in grades or test scores can vary, these settings can foster academic motivation, increase school attendance, and promote long-term educational success.
