Each day our schools are in session, our program focuses on academics, enrichment, and wellness activities to benefit the whole child. Expanded Learning offers options to meet our families ' needs, whether before, after, on school out days for parent/teacher conferences, or early dismissals. Expanded Learning promotes a safe, fun, and engaging environment by providing youth with homework help, a healthy snack, free play, and structured activities that explore culture, art, science, engineering, technology, music, dance, sports, and more!
We provide programming for youth in grades K-8 at our Family Resource Center. The Family Resource Center is designed with youth in mind and has a gym, playground, green space, and dedicated spaces for youth to learn, explore, and grow.
The staff in our programs are individuals passionate about working with youth. Staff participates in training prior to the start of the school year to ensure safety and consistency. We believe in supporting all children as they develop skills in academics and their social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
To be eligible to attend Expanded Learning programs, all young people must be able to use the bathroom independently. We expect all youth and staff to contribute to a safe environment for all, with or without reasonable accommodations. At the minimum, children are expected to follow routines and instructions, stay with their assigned group, and keep their hands to themselves. This program expects all youth to function well in a group setting, demonstrating positive and cooperative behaviors that display kindness, acceptance, and respect for themselves and others. This program is a license-exempt childcare center through the Department of Child and Family Services of Illinois.
