63 Foundation
The mission of the East Maine School District 63 Foundation is to support initiatives at EMSD63 that benefit the community by receiving and administering funds for educational or charitable purposes. Some of the initiatives that the 63 Foundation has supported in the past have been Expanded Learning programs, Open Gym, and scholarships for students experiencing financial hardship.
More recently, the 63 Foundation has supported the FRC Marketplace. The Marketplace is located in the Family Resource Center at EMSD63 and serves as a food pantry and community closet for needy families. This is a place that provides families with clothing, household items, school supplies, produce, non-perishable food items, and even toys.
These efforts are supported by fundraisers, monetary donations, and donations of items. Each year, EMSD63 holds their annual We Care Campaign where we collect nonperishable food items and toiletries to stock the Marketplace. In addition to those listed, partnerships with Niles Family Services, Maine Township, Panjwani Network Restaurants, and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, and a variety of other local restaurants, businesses, and organizations help to sustain the services we can provide to our families.
